Dear skiers, freeriders & touring skiers!
World Ski Test 2025/26
The results...
After 2007 and 2010, we were very fortunate to be able to hold our World Ski Test at the end of March 2025 in the Hohe Tauern National Park region in Heiligenblut, where snow is guaranteed.
This year, all three tests – Alpine Ski Test, Freeride Ski Test and Touring Ski Test – took place at the foot of the Großglockner.
The impressive backdrop of Austria's highest mountain, perfect snow conditions, optimal conditions and warm hospitality provided the basis for four intensive and successful days of testing.
We are now publishing the results.
Each week, we will release two categories.
This week, we are starting with the categories:
Race SL & All Mountain
The results are as follows:
Ladies High Performance & Men High Performance
followed by:
Ladies Performance, Men Performance and Youth GS
In mid-November, we will publish:
Freeride I – up to 100 & Freeride II – over 100
Finally:
Touring Men & Touring Ladies
We would like to express our sincere thanks for the perfect cooperation with the team at Kärnten Werbung, the National Park Region, Großglockner Bergbahnen, the Heiligenblut Tourist Board and the ‘Haus der Steinböcke’ as well as our partner hotels Lärchenhof & Nationalpark Lodge – all of whom contributed significantly to the success of the WorldSkitest.
An excerpt from our motivated testers:
international journalists, amateur skiers and active and former ski pros such as Daniel Danklmaier (ÖSV Speedteam), world champion Nicole Schmidhofer, team world champion Eva Maria Brem, Olympic champion Fritz Strobl, world champion Hannes Reichelt, world champion Manfred Pranger, double team world champion Philipp Schörghofer, Olympic bronze medallist Jure Kosir ...
What makes the World Ski Test so meaningful for consumers?
The black tape covering the skis eliminates brand preference.
The colourful and diverse mix of testers with different skiing abilities and different requirements for the test skis increases the significance of the results.
The wide variety of ski models:
7 alpine categories
2 freeride categories
2 touring categories
covers a huge range.
With sporting regards,
Yours sincerely,
Gerhard Brüggler
